I'm Claire.... an interiors obsessed, creative problem solver on a mission to improve your home and happiness.
I create simple interiors that work effectively for the people that live in them. Successful homes combine function AND beauty so I'll be finding creative solutions to help improve your way of living.
My interior design service is flexible and allows you to choose how much input you need from me - based on your budget, time and creativity. My aim is to inspire and motivate you to envisage a home to be proud of and give you the information and advice you need to make it happen.

Our Interior Design service is perfect if you need a helping hand with improving your home. Getting To Know You
We start with a brief questionnaire to outline your general needs and desires for the space. We will also need photos and measurements from you in advance. Your input is invaluable and will set us on the right track.

Setting The Brief
We schedule a call to discuss your info and get the ball rolling. We'll use Pinterest as a visual tool so we can work together to hone in on your style. The process is collaborative and informal and should leave you inspired.
03
Design Time
We'll work on your Concept Design, including a mood board, colour scheme and floorplan, which we'll discuss and tweak as necessary before moving on to the details. By getting the basis of the design right at this stage we keep time and costs to a minimum.
04
Final Details
Finally we layer in specifics including a visual of the space, paint & fabric suggestions and a clickable shopping list. If you have any questions along the way we'll always be on hand to assist you. And if need additional help with purchasing or installation just let us know!

This one was such a joy. Pared back colour palette of blues and greens with simple styling. Transforming this room into a light and airy sanctuary.
The feature panelled wall creates a statement whilst cleverly hiding the pipe work. It also doubles as a handy shelf for some artwork and plants.

The secret to achieving a sophisticated hotel vibe lies in the simplicity and the detail.
This Master Suite had a major overhaul including moving doors and entryways to accommodate better access and improve storage. Everything has a purpose and everything has a place.
The colour palette flows between the bedroom and en-suite creating a beautifully cohesive space.
But you don’t need to start from scratch to get the hotel look. Here are some top tips for easy changes you can make at home -
Use the same handles and keep all the metalwork to one finish to tie the look together and eliminate distractions.
Paint the walls as dark as you dare, you’re mostly here at night after all! This gives a calm and cosy feel and really ramps up the sophistication levels.
Spend money on the lighting. Go big and bold to really elevate the space with a sense of drama.
Use beautiful textiles with texture or pattern and layer up the bed for a luxury feel. Always invest in quality blackout curtains that make a statement.

Sometimes the best things in life come from a problem.... This little book nook was a creative solution for a space where a standard kitchen wall unit wouldn't quite fit. It was too deep and would have over hung the window. Never a good thing. And how boring this wall would have been if it had fit! Garden Living is the dream for August....🤔 The only month of the year that I really put ALL the cushions out, so fingers crossed 🤞🏻
The goal is to make it as comfy as possible so you can spend all day out there (weather permitting of course! ⛅️🌦️☔️)
Here are some top tips for bringing the inside out:
☀ Garden furniture is a real investment but chosen wisely will last a lifetime. Buy once, buy well as they say!
☀ Layer up with outdoor cushions and rugs that will weather the storm or buy a waterproof cover to avoid the constant back and forth.
☀ Add solar powered lighting to brighten up the evenings and bring a magical festival vibe.
☀ Depending on your space choose a suitable table for a cosy drinks and nibbles area or a full family get together.
☀ Paint your fences if they are feeling tired and worn. Its an instant pick me up and creates a dramatic backdrop for your plants.
☀ Make a covered area to either hide from a few spots of rain or shade from the heat. (I mean it could go either way 🤪) A cheery parasol or sail hooked up to the fence will do the trick.

Here’s an easy Easter breakfast table for you to try, even if you think you don’t have time! I always love an excuse to make breakfast an occasion. The trick is to keep it simple but layer up some basic elements. Here’s how….
🌼 Find your best tablecloth or even a bed sheet. Having a tablecloth on really helps make it feel different and therefore special.
🌼 I couldn’t resist these pretty plates but any plate will do! Layer on a rattan placemat for texture.
🌼 Roll a napkin and bend in half to wrap round an egg. Tie in place with anything you have - ribbon or string or elastic band.
🌼 Grab a couple of bunches of flowers from your local shop. Even plain old daffs will look fab in a simple vase.
🌼 It’s really all about the food so load up on festive treats and some fresh fruit too of course!

Open plan living has been a popular trend in interior design for several years, allowing us to maximise the space we have and help families connect more easily. However many people are now choosing to create smaller, more divided spaces in their homes to feel more cosy and intimate. Sometimes open plan living can feel cold and lacking in privacy. By creating smaller, more defined spaces, we can create a more practical and cosy atmosphere in our homes. Using part of a wall like this, with glass or slats, keeps the open plan feel whilst creating zones for separation.

You may have heard the term 'Colour Drenching' used in interiors posts, but what does it mean and why should you consider it?
Colour drenching involves using bold, bright and vivid colours to create a vibrant atmosphere. This look is best achieved by using a combination of primary and secondary colours, as well as different shades and tints of the same hue. It is important to choose colours that complement each other and create a sense of balance in the space.
You can use paint, fabrics, wallpapers, and accessories to colour drench a room. Painting the ceiling, walls and woodwork all the same colour helps to bring a sense of calm to the space.
To ensure the look is cohesive, use a few shades of the same colour throughout the room. This will help all the elements work together to create a stunning and unique interior!

Things you need to consider before decorating your hallway…
1. 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗱 - How do you want to feel when you walk in the door? Instantly soothed and relaxed? Invigorated? Joyful?
2. 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 - What features do you already have? How can you make the most of them? Do you need to add some interest?
3. 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 - How much natural light do you get? Do you need to add more or better lighting? Mirrors are great for reflecting light as well as an essential practical element.
4. 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 - How much do you actually need to store in the hallway? Can you utilise under the stairs? Can you edit and pack away seasonally?
5. 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 - Do you have space for a bench or a place to hide the inevitable clutter?
6. 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 - Do you want the natural feel of wood or a bold statement tile? Think about balancing your patterns and materials and how they flow into other rooms.
7. 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 - Do you want it bright and colourful or calm and neutral? Or maybe somewhere in between! Think about all the surfaces to paint and how to tie them together. Front door, skirtings, ceiling, bannisters. Keep it simple with 2-3 colours max. 😊

I’ve been dying to paint our bedroom ceiling for a while. Anything to hide those pesky cracks! But there’s an on going debate in our house about ‘making it too dark’. For me it’s cosy and enveloping and if you have the height it makes a bold yet elegant statement. Also it allows you to keep the walls lighter if you’re nervous about using a dark paint all round.
I would say if you don’t have tall ceilings it might make the room feel shorter or top heavy so maybe go for a lighter or brighter colour.
